Job summary

Responsibilities

• Follow all established Gerdau Safety, Environmental, and Routine procedures specific to the yard.
• Operate the loader and/or material handler to load/unload scrap material while maintaining quality standards.
• Inspect incoming scrap for grade and quality and communicate findings to the scale in a timely manner.
• Ensure outbound materials meet safety and quality standards and perform daily Routine Equipment Care (REC).
• Identify and quarantine any scanned material that fails radiation checks and notify appropriate personnel.
• Support rail operations where applicable (shifts, coupling/uncoupling).
