Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Yard Operations Manager to lead day-to-day site operations, supervise warehousing, receiving, and shipping, and manage inbound/outbound volume with KPI-driven, safe, cost-effective practices.

You will plan schedules, allocate staff, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating training and HR activities to build a high-performing team in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 7 years’ experience in logistics/distribution.
• 5 years’ supervisory experience.
• Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safe, profitable operational systems.
• Meet productivity, service goals, and client KPIs.
• Lead continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
• Schedule daily work and allocate tasks to staff.
• Coordinate training and performance evaluations.
• Maintain safety and SOP adherence.
• Engage with HR for staffing and development.
• Provide updates to senior management and clients.
• Manage budget and cost controls.
