Estes Express Lines in Tracy, CA is seeking a dockworker to safely handle and maneuver trailers and heavy equipment, perform pre/post-shift inspections, and load/unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.

Work includes ensuring loads are secured to prevent damage, coordinating with Dock supervision and Line Haul drivers, and operating in outdoor conditions. The role requires reliability, physical stamina and adherence to safety rules.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17+ years of age.
• Valid CDL and acceptable MVR if driving on public roads.
• FMCSA Drug/Alcohol Clearinghouse registration if CDL holder.
• Experience in transportation is a plus.
• Stable work history.

Responsabilidades

• Safely handle and maneuver trailers and large equipment to facilitate loading/unloading in the yard.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections of yard and dock equipment.
• Cube, load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Load freight to prevent damage by blocking, bracing and use of load bars, straps and dunnage.
• Set up, break down and hook trailers accurately.
• Ensure pup trailers have tilt bar lowered prior to loading.
• Raise and lower landing gear; monitor yard for unsafe drivers and non-employees.
• Communicate effectively with Dock supervision, Line Haul drivers and Fleet Services personnel.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Night/weekend shifts may be required.
