Job summary

Florida-State-Fence is looking for a Yard Manager to supervise yard operations, coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, and ensure safety and efficiency on site. You will lead a team, manage inventory, and enforce safety standards in a fast-changing construction materials environment.

The role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, with a focus on reliability, safety, and customer service in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Oversee yard operations and safety compliance.
• Lead and train yard crew to meet operational standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and proper handling of materials.
• Ensure timely loading/unloading of trucks and safe equipment use.
• Enforce safety regulations and incident procedures in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily yard tasks and adapt to weather, deliveries, and staffing changes.
• Delegate tasks to crew members and monitor productivity.
• Ensure secure storage, rotation, and accessibility of inventory.
• Oversee loading/unloading operations and safe equipment use.
• Train staff in safety gear and procedures; respond to incidents per policy.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free yard and promote teamwork.
• Serve as a point of contact for yard-related service issues.
