Job summary

United States Cold Storage Inc in Utah is seeking a Yard Loader/Trailer Spotter to move equipment, place trailers in and out of doors, and ensure accurate location tagging in the yard management system. The ideal candidate will have high school diploma or GED, yard spotting or truck driving experience, and must meet safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role requires lifting; operates scanners and warehouse equipment, and may entail extra hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Move equipment throughout the lot and communicate with relevant departments.
• Place trailers in and out of doors and ensure correct location in the yard management system.
• Verify trailers are identified and in the correct location; perform temperature and fuel checks.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and yard security; report issues as needed.
• Coordinate with shipping/receiving and welcome center to ensure proper trailer status.
• Ensure trailers are secured at end of shift and follow gate security guidelines.

What We Are Looking For:

• Efficiently move equipment throughout the lot, ensuring clear communication with relevant departments while diligently monitoring and updating the yard management system.
• Place trailers in and out of doors.
• Oversee that trailers are correctly identified in the yard management system and in the correct location.
• Complete temperature and fuel level checks on trailers.
• Uphold sanitation standards and efforts in the yard and report any issues as needed.
• Work with the shipping and receiving and welcome center teams to ensure trailers are in their correct locations and set to their correct refer status.
• Demonstrate personal responsibility for and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain yard security in accordance with company requirements.
• Verify all trailers are secured at the end of shift and follow company guidelines for truck gate security and monitoring.

• Possess strong arithmetic and reading skills.
• Follow verbal instructions, written instructions, and company policies.
