Canam Steel Corporation is seeking a Yard Equipment Operator to safely move, load and unload materials on a manufacturing floor using forklifts and related equipment.

You will load and rig steel joists and girders, assist with shop loads, keep the yard organized and maintain safety protocols while supporting production schedules.

This on-site role requires good communication, reliability and ability to read loading requisitions, with overtime and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualificações

• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months experience operating a forklift, preferred.
• Ability to pass internal forklift certification.
• Ability to read and understand loading requisitions.

Responsabilidades

• Load, rig steel joists and/or girders on trailers as assigned.
• Assist with loading and unloading material in shop as needed.
• Assist with steel joist bundles and yard layout as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required.
