Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Yard Operator to manage materials in the yard, load/unload trucks, and assist customers with orders. The role requires forklift experience, safety focus, and the ability to read measurements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in a lumber yard, distribution center, or warehouse.
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within three months).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in basic math and measurement calculations (including reading tape measurements).
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks with accuracy in materials received and dispatched.
• Move materials to and from storage areas, delivery vehicles, and freight containers.
• Maintain an orderly, safe yard and ensure proper storage and coverage of materials.
• Assist customers in locating and loading purchased materials.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Prepare and complete orders for pickup or delivery per schedule.
