Job summary

Sims Limited is seeking a Facility Manager in Oklahoma City to oversee ferrous and non-ferrous metal processing operations. The role requires leading a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with EHS, and driving cost containment and productivity programs.

Ideal candidates will have 5–8 years of industry experience, plus a Bachelor’s degree in management or engineering. Knowledge of port operations and regulatory interfaces is a plus, with a focus on safety and efficiency across the yard.

Qualifications

• Five to eight years applicable industry experience with a working understanding of different types of scraps.
• Bachelor’s degree in management, Engineering or other related field preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to find suitable solutions to productivity issues.
• Knowledge of port and ship loading activities a plus.
• Experience interfacing with government agencies a plus.
• Knowledge of shears, balers, mobile equipment as well as requisite tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations

• Manage staff which includes yard laborers, mechanics, equipment operators, and supervisory staff.
• Develop strategies, business plans, budgets and programs to contain cost and to increase productivity.
• Implement corporate sponsored initiatives, including standardized production and budget forecasting/reporting for all departments.
• Partner with regional HR team to implement performance management, change management, and employee engagement initiatives.
