Job summary

Cobalt Cattle Company LLC is seeking a Yard Crew member to help maintain all yard facilities and participate in general yard maintenance and repairs in Eckley, CO. Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, wiring, carpentry, plumbing, and helping with fencing, water lines, and tank maintenance.

The role requires welding experience, 1 year of maintenance work, and ability to work non-traditional hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Adequate welding experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• At least 1 year of general maintenance experience.
• At least 1 year of welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains heavy equipment.
• Uses hand tools, takes measurements, performs basic carpentry and plumbing.
• Relocates fencing and installs new pen fencing.
• Drains and cleans water tanks.
• Digs trenches and installs water lines.
• Performs hot work (welding/fabrication).
• Removes dead animals from pens to designated areas.
• Maintains general yard and building housekeeping.
• Assists in the mechanics shop as directed by the Yard Manager.
• Ensures OSHA/Safety compliance.
