Job summary

Wagman is seeking a Yard Laborer in Dinwiddie, VA to support loading and unloading construction materials and maintain yard and facilities. The role reports to the Yard Foreman and helps coordinate daily tasks with the team to keep projects moving on schedule.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED, is comfortable working around heavy equipment, and can operate forklifts and related tools. This safety-sensitive position involves outdoor work and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED; degree may be replaced with work experience.
• Construction yard experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload construction material and equipment manually or using forklift, dollies, hand trucks or cranes.
• Inspect materials; sort and stack incoming equipment and material.
• Prepare equipment and materials for shipment or delivery according to work orders.
• Transport materials, parts and equipment to job sites locally or regionally using non-commercial and commercial vehicles as needed.
• Perform general upkeep and maintenance of the yard, parking lots and buildings.
