Job summary

PFNonwovens is seeking a yard jockey operator to move trailers within the yard, to docks, and along public roads. You will back trailers to dock doors and drop trailers, sometimes with adjacent trailers, using yard equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.

The role requires a valid CDL-A, good communication, and the ability to complete DOT logs. Physical tasks include climbing into equipment, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working outside in all weather.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL – Class A driver’s license.
• Previous CDL - Class A driving experience a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no infractions.
• Good communications skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to fill out all required DOT logs and reports.

Responsibilities

• Driving the yard jockey, transport trailers around the facility, on public roads and between buildings.
• Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.

Work Environment

Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times. Will be required to be outside in all types of weather.

Physical Requirements

• Raise legs high to climb up into yard jockey or onto other motorized equipment.
• Reaching into truck and/or trailer.
• Must be able to bend with knees.
• Use hands and arms to connect trailer to jockey and to drive.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to read and understand all safety requirements, hear sounds and see traffic signals.
