Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Wisconsin is seeking a Yard Jockey to safely move trailers within our distribution center yard on the third shift. You will perform inspections, check trailers, manage temperatures, shuttle trailers for loading, and load recyclables and pallets. The role requires the ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days and offers medical benefits from day one, with pay at $30.74 per hour.

Responsibilities

Position Overview
Seeking a Yard Jockey responsible for safe, efficient trailer movements within a distribution center yard.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing pre- and post-shift inspections (2%)
• Checking yard trailers and verifying contents (5%)
• Moving trailers, including empty and loaded, ensuring proper temperatures (55%)
• Shuttling trailers for loading, unloading, and transfers (7%)
• Loading recyclables, pallets, and other materials (10-15%)
• Maintaining yard inventory and vehicle/trailer condition (fueling, cleaning, inspecting)
• Completing additional duties like salvage handling and operating fueling equipment as needed

Qualifications And Skills

• Ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days
• Experience maneuvering and backing trailers
• Physical capability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in various warehouse temperatures
• Proficient reading, writing, and following instructions
• Valid DOT Physical and adherence to safety policies
