Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a trailer jockey to move, load, and stage trailers at our Johnstown distribution site. You will follow supervisor instructions, review BOL, and ensure safe, accurate outbound loads.

This role requires 18+ (21+ with CDL), valid CDL if applicable, and the ability to lift 20–50 lbs. teamwork and DOT compliance are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older; 21+ if CDL required.
• Valid CDL license may be required for interstate work.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Jockey trailers under supervisor direction and load trucks as needed.
• Prepare for the day and complete required checklists (e.g., VCR for jockey truck).
• Move trailers from lot to doors and back as directed by foreman.
• Review BOL and complete final certification for outbound loads.
• Stage pallets and load into trucks; maintain clean, organized work area.
• Ensure compliance with DOT rules and PepsiCo safety rules.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

• Jockey trailers under direction of supervisor or foreman/ load trucks as needed and all other duties as assigned.
• Prepare for day:
• Complete VCR for jockey truck and forklift (if applicable)
• Organize and clean work area
• Trailer jockey:
• Move trailers from lot to dock doors and back to lot as directed
• Work with foreman and supervisor to move raw material loads to doors as needed
• Install/Remove Trailer Stands as necessary
• Trailer loading:
• Review BOL for product to be loaded
• Complete final certification for all outbound loads
• See foreman for out of stock items
• Complete load:Wrap any partial pallets when complete
• Process paper work in NIS (National Inventory System) or hand to supervisor
• Stage pallet and/or load into truck when ready
• Clean up:
• Complete partial pallets and put away mixed pallets
• Maintain proper housekeeping standards in work area

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years or older; 21 years or older if Valid U.S. CDL required
• *Valid U.S. CDL license with Non-Excepted Interstate Status (if applicable)
• Note: In all California locations except Stockton, both non-excepted intrastate and non-excepted interstate status are accepted for this position. In Stockton, CA, only non-excepted interstate status is accepted.
• Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test (if applicable)
• Follow DOT regulations (if applicable)
• Job may in include pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying between 20 and 50 lbs. throughout the shift
• Ability to communicate effectively in English if CDL required
• Comply with all PepsiCo Beverages North America Safety Rules
