Job summary

Primo Brands Corporation in Hollis, ME is seeking a Yard Truck Driver/Forklift Operator to support shipping, receiving, and yard operations. The role pays $31.30 per hour at hire, with 0.50/hour increases after 90 and 180 days based on performance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License is required.
  • Forklift or heavy equipment experience preferred.
  • Ability to move/handle 50lbs and operate yard truck/forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety protocols, company policies, and maintenance of yard trucks.
  • Move and inspect trailers in the yard and dock per pick-ticket requirements.
  • Operate yard truck and forklift to support shipping/receiving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform basic repairs, and document adjustments.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, production, and quality teams to maximize efficiency and safety.
  • Maintain accurate reports and strong peer relationships to support goals.
  • Perform recycling program tasks, including grinders and balers.
  • Utilize SAP and time management to prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
  • Perform dock coordination, loading, and shipping duties as required.

Factory Location: Hollis, ME

Compensation: $31.30 / per hour at hire, with $0.50/hour increases after 90 and 180 days upon successful review

Shift differential:6%-8% of base hourly rate shift differential paid for applicable hours worked

Shifts: Days6:00 AM - 6:00 PM Thurs- Sat & e/o Wed. or Nights 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM Wed.-Fri and e/o Sat.

Flexible Full-Time position

Ability to work weekends and holidays per business needs

Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and procedures, including factory standards and preventative maintenance of yard trucks.
  • Move and inspect trailers efficiently in the yard and dock, ensuring timely loading/unloading per pick ticket requirements.
  • Operate a yard truck and forklift to support shipping/receiving activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform basic repairs, document adjustments, and maintain accurate reports.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, production, and quality teams to maximize efficiency, safety, and output quality.
  • Maintain strong peer relationships to support departmental and plant goals.
  • Execute recycling program tasks, including operating grinders and balers.
  • Utilize PC, SAP, and time management skills to prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
  • Perform dock coordination, loading, and shipping duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Class ACommercial Driver's License isrequired.
  • No more than two moving violations in the last three years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Prior forklift or heavy equipment experience preferred with prior experience in manufacturing desired.
  • Exposure to warehouse inventory scanners and basic equipment maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to work self-directed — accomplish daily workload with minimal supervision.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to interact with various internal contacts to manage the flow of work.
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP experience a plus.
  • Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to move/handle 50lbs and get up and down a yard truck/forklift frequently throughout the day.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time and drive backwards as needed.

Flexible Full-Time Program: This position can experience periods throughout the year where business is slower and there are less hours of work available due to seasonality. Generally, the company does not anticipate temporary layoffs to last more than a total of 90 days however each temporary layoff is based on volume and business needs and could vary based on the situation. During temporary layoff, the company will maintain your elected benefits (medical, dental, and vision) at the active employee rate for up to 90 days of which you are responsible for your benefits premium costs. A reinstatement bonus will be processed upon your return from temporary layoff if you return to your position when recalled. Employees out on temporary layoff will be expected to be prepared to return to work at any time when the company requires.
