Job summary

Reyes Holdings is seeking a Yard Jockey at our Enfield, CT facility. You will load straps, racks, and shippers onto trucks, assist with pallet building and unloading, and keep hand trucks and tow motors charged and ready for drivers.

The role requires 21+ years old, 0–1 year driving experience, Class A CDL permit to license, and the ability to lift up to 170 lbs. Must be able to work any shift, weekends and OT.

• Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs regularly and up to 170 lbs.

Responsibilities

• The Yard Jockey loads straps, racks, and shippers onto trucks during loading.
• Assist with pallet building and unloading trucks to maintain pallet and shell organization.
• Ensure hand trucks and tow motors are charged and ready for drivers; secure all DSD routes with a charged mule before leaving the dock.
• Maintain general warehouse and yard cleanliness and assist with replenishment of product.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position responsibilities

• The Yard Jockey is responsible for loading straps, racks, and shippers onto truck during the loading process
• You will assist with pallet building and unloading of trucks to maintain organization of pallets and shells
• This role ensures that the hand trucks and tow motors are charged and put in their respective places for drivers as well as all DSD routes have a fully charged mule on trailer prior to leaving the dock
• The Yard Jockey maintains general cleanliness of the warehouse and yard and assists with replenishment of product in the warehouse
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

• Must be at least 21 years old
• 0 to 1 plus years of specific driving experience
• Class A CDL Permit to Class A CDL license
• Must be able to lift products from 25 pounds to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 170 pounds

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
