T.M. Cobb/Haley Bros. Inc. is seeking a Yard Hostler for the SB Door Plant in San Bernardino, CA. You will move and position tractors, trailers, and other fleet equipment to support shipping, receiving, dispatch, and maintenance, ensuring availability and readiness for loading and transport.

The role requires operating yard tractors and equipment safely, performing inspections, and coordinating with drivers and maintenance staff to maintain an organized yard and fleet readiness.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of yard operations, trailer spotting procedures, and the safe operation of tractors and trailers in confined spaces.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers, and maintenance personnel.
• Ability to identify vehicle and trailer defects and communicate repair needs.

Responsibilities

• Move and position tractors, trailers, and other equipment within yards and staging areas.
• Spot empty and loaded trailers at docks and remove trailers as directed.
• Verify trailer numbers, seals, and equipment locations.
• Coordinate trailer movements with dispatch, shipping, and maintenance teams.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects or damage.
• Maintain yard and equipment in a clean, safe condition.
• Operate yard tractors safely following company policies.
