Job summary

WholeTrees in Westby, Wisconsin is seeking an entry-level Yard Hand to support yard operations, load and unload trees and materials, and help track inventory. This on-site role offers training and growth opportunities with a family-owned team.

We value a willingness to learn, basic carpentry familiarity, and a valid driver's license, with full-time hours, overtime as needed, and health care benefits available to employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Some experience (or school projects) in construction with wood/carpentry.
• Some experience with basic hand and power tools.
• Some machine operation in a fork lift and telehandler. (desired, not required)
• An attitude of learning and being as helpful as possible each day.
• Roll-up your sleeves and help in anyway you can.
• Has a driver license and can independently get to and from work each day
• Quick to smile.

Responsibilities for this Position:

• Load and Unload trucks with trees, logs and other building materials.
• Help track the inventory throughout the project process.
• Help organize the yard as needed
• Peel and sand logs.
• Maintains tools and equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Compensation:

Full time wage commensurate with experience. WholeTrees would expect 40 hours per working week, with required overtime as needed. Health Care Benefits are available.
