Job summary

Crowley Maritime Corporation is seeking a motivated entry-level worker to support propane sales and delivery operations at the Palmer Terminal. You will help maintain safe and clean terminal conditions, operate propane dispensers, and assist in delivery coordination.

Responsibilities include using forklifts, loading/unloading items, and ensuring tidy shop areas. The role may involve seasonal snow duties and driving non-CDL vehicles as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Entry-level; industrial experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and handle moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• Operate propane dispenser to fill bottles and assist in delivery of propane products.
• Use forklift to load/unload trailers and move equipment.
• Keep work and shop areas clean and organized, including lawn duties.
• Winter duties include maintaining snow around yard and retail stations.
• Drive non-CDL company vehicles for snow plowing and station checks; assist as needed.

What You’ll Do:

Support the Palmer Terminal’s propane sales and delivery operations as well as maintain safe and clean conditions at the terminal.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate propane dispenser to fill propane bottles as needed and sleeve, clean and assist in the delivery of blue rhino.
• Use forklift to load and unload trailers, deliver lube products barrels to customer vehicles and move items within the shop area.
• Ensure the work and shop areas are clean and tidy; this includes lawn services.
• During winter months ensure that the snow is maintained around the yard and at our retail card lock gas stations.
• Move supplies and/or equipment to designated storage areas.
• Drive company vehicles (non CDL) to plow snow, transport package products, do station checks, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Credentials:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Entry level job. Industrial related previous experience preferred.

Technical Skills:

Familiar with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook and Word and other technology such as tablets and smart phone.

Competencies:

• Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, mowers, pickup trucks, and hand tools
• Ability to repetitively lift and handle 35# propane bottles.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Other:

• Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT Med card are required.
• CDL is not required but would be a plus.
• Forklift certification is preferred and may be required after completion of the introductory period.

Working Conditions:

Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
