Job summary

Centuri Construction Group, Inc. is seeking a Yard Hand to support daily yard and warehouse operations, loading/unloading pipe and materials, and maintaining inventory.  You will organize orders, verify quantities, and ensure a clean, safe work environment on site.

The role requires reading documents and using a computer; lifting up to 80 pounds is possible. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and some experience with inventory counting and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Support daily yard hand duties for warehouse, shop, and field operations.
• Safely load and unload pipe, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Inspect, stage, organize, and secure pipe for storage and transport.
• Prepare and verify orders for correct materials and quantities.
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse, shop, and yard areas.
• Receive, inspect, label, store, and distribute materials and tools.
• Process requisitions, work orders, and inventory requests.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in the tracking system.
• Occasionally perform local pickups and deliveries of supplies.
• Operate trucks, trailers, and material-handling equipment safely.

As a Yard Hand you will support daily yard and warehouse operations by safely loading and unloading pipe, organizing materials, preparing orders, maintaining inventory, and keeping work areas clean and safe. You will report to the Warehouse Manager.

What You'll Do

• Perform general yard hand duties to support daily warehouse, shop, and field operations.
• Safely load and unload pipe, materials, tools, and equipment using appropriate equipment and procedures.
• Inspect, stage, organize, and secure pipe for storage, transportation, and distribution.
• Prepare and verify orders to ensure the correct materials and quantities are staged and loaded.
• Maintain clean, organized, and debris-free warehouse, shop, and yard areas.
• Receive, inspect, label, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products.
• Process requisitions, work orders, and requests for materials, tools, and inventory items.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using the company's computerized tracking system.
• Complete routine local pickups and deliveries of supplies and materials using company vehicles.
• Operate assigned trucks, trailers, and material‑handling equipment in accordance with training and safety requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures when handling, loading, unloading, storing, and transporting pipe and other materials.
• Perform additional responsibilities as requested by leadership.

What You'll Have
