Job summary

Centuri Construction Group, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Assistant to keep the shop and warehouse clean and organized while supporting yard operations and inventory tasks. You will receive, store, and distribute materials, assist with order fulfillment, and help maintain stock accuracy.

The role requires basic reading and computer skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds in a typical warehouse environment. Training and safety-first culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience reading documents and using a computer.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep shop and warehouse clean, organized, and debris-free.
• Assist yard operations: loading, assembling orders, cleaning, stocking.
• Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment.
• Fill requisitions and work orders for materials and stock items.
• Assemble, mark, open, and count stock items.
• Operate local vehicle for pickup/delivery of supplies.

Our projects rely on having the right materials at the right times in order to make construction projects successful. A well maintained shop and warehouse is the key to making that happen. As a Warehouse Assistant you are responsible for making sure the shop and/or warehouse is well maintained and provides manual labor for all warehouse functions. You will report to the Warehouse Manager.

What You'll Do

• Ensure the shop and warehouse areas are kept clean, organized, and free of debris


• Assist with yard operations including the loading of pipe, assembling orders, general cleaning, organization, stocking, and repairs


• Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse


• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items


• Assemble, mark, open, and count various stock items


• Drive a vehicle (generally one ton or less) within the local area to transport passengers and make routine pickup/delivery of supplies and materials


• Operate several types of power motor vehicles including but not limited to: Single Axle & Tandem Axle Truck Tractors, Medium Duty, Single Axle Dump Trucks & Flatbed Crew Trucks, Semi-Tailors, Flatbed, End Dump, Lowboys, and Equipment Tailors


• Utilize computer record keeping system to track and monitor inventory, small tools, and equipment


• Maintain file system for all warehouse functions


• Perform other responsibilitiesas requested by leadership

• Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice


• Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing


• Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments


• Ability to occasionally lift up to 80 pounds


• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
