Job summary

Fashion Nova Logistics is seeking a dependable Yard Goat Driver to move trailers between loading docks and yard locations. You will ensure safe connections, perform inspections, and support timely loading and unloading in a fast-paced distribution center.

The role requires experience with yard trucks or heavy equipment, a clean driving record, and the ability to work with warehouse teams. Bilingual skills are a plus and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
• Previous experience operating a yard goat or similar heavy equipment preferred.
• Warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of safe driving practices and trailer movement.
• Ability to maneuver trailers in tight spaces and around other vehicles.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections and recognize equipment issues.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Role Overview

Fashion Nova Logistics is seeking a dependable, safety-focusedYard Goat Driver to support our fast-paced distribution center operations. In this role, you will safely move trailers and containers between loading docks, parking areas, and other designated locations while keeping the yard organized and supporting timely loading and unloading.

The ideal candidate has experience operating yard trucks or similar heavy equipment, demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, and can coordinate with warehouse teams to keep trailer movements efficient and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a yard goat to move and position trailers throughout the warehouse yard.

Attach and detach trailers, ensuring brake, light, and other connections are secure before moving.

Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.

Coordinate with warehouse teams to support timely loading and unloading.

Maintain organized trailer parking and help prevent yard congestion.

Communicate trailer locations, loading status, and operational issues to warehouse staff and supervisors.

Follow company safety procedures, yard speed limits, and equipment operating guidelines.

Immediately report safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and accidents.

Assist with loading, unloading, and securing trailers as needed.

Perform additional duties based on business needs.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when assisting with loading and unloading.

Ability to perform tasks involving standing, lifting, bending, and twisting.

Extended periods of driving and standing.

Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.

Work around moving trailers, heavy equipment, noise, and vibration.
