Job summary

Galleher Industries is seeking an experienced Yard Operator to safely move, load, unload, store, and stage materials. You will operate forklifts, Combi-Lifts, and other equipment to manage steel, lumber, and oversized freight in a fast-paced yard and warehouse.

This hands-on role requires 3–5 years of warehouse/yard experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to maintain accurate inventory records while ensuring on-time deliveries and strict safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years warehouse or yard experience required.
• 3–5 years forklift experience; not entry-level.
• Hands-on Combi-Lift operation required.
• Ability to move large, oversized freight safely.
• Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload materials from flatbeds, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
• Operate forklifts, Combi-Lifts to move steel, lumber, and oversized materials throughout the yard and warehouse.
• Transport raw materials to designated workstations, storage areas, and shipping locations.
• Stage, organize, and prepare materials for customer delivery and internal production needs.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and activity logs.
• Ensure customer loads are completed accurately and meet delivery schedules and customer-specific requirements.
