Job summary

Core Equipment Group is seeking a Grounds & Fleet Support Technician to manage the yard, inspect and prepare equipment for customers, and coordinate logistics with service and sales teams. The role emphasizes safe, organized yard operations and accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate has experience with heavy equipment, basic maintenance, and strong attention to detail. This position is outdoors in a busy yard environment with occasional shop work and requires a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• Technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs preferred.
• Prior experience in construction, equipment rental, yard operations, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment check-in/out with documentation including 360° inspections and photos.
• Move and stage machinery using forklifts or skid steers.
• Mount attachments and test run equipment to verify operation.
• Inspect fluid levels and tire pressure; prep for pre-rental and pre-sale.
• Grease equipment and perform light maintenance; clean and organize yard.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries/pickups with service, rental, and sales teams.
• Maintain records and inspection reports for all equipment processed.
