Job summary

CJ Logistics America is seeking a Yard Driver to assist in the movement and spotting of trailers, ensuring safe, timely handling and accurate inventory at a local Bethlehem facility.

The role requires 21+ years old, a valid license, and a clean driving history. Expect 12 months driving in the last year, with possible evening shifts and overtime. Local, onsite work with daily home return and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with 12 months driving in the last year.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
• Clean background check result.
• High level of reliability and commitment.
• Strong communication skills for professional interactions.
• Ability to develop goals and plans to prioritize and complete work.
• Must be 21 years or older per insurance and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Move and spot trailers safely and efficiently.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage to vehicles.
• Operate vehicle equipment to exchange information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
• Maneuver trucks to loading/unloading positions following signals.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance (oil, fuel, radiator).
• Collect and verify delivery instructions and routes.
• Hook/unhook trailers and securely cargo.
• Direct laborers packing goods onto trailers.
• Use idle reduction systems to reduce idling time.
• Install or remove equipment (tire chains, etc.).
• Follow cargo-specific procedures and load/unload freight.
• Inventory and inspect goods for quantities and condition.
• Complete required paperwork and regulatory documentation.
• Ensure operations comply with laws and safety procedures.
• Represent the company professionally.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
