Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions in Denver, CO is seeking a skilled Yard Driver to maneuver tractor-trailers and straight trucks within our yard and loading areas. You will hook/unhook trailers, reposition equipment, and help ensure safe, efficient loading and unloading of freight.

The role requires a valid driver's license, at least 1 year of commercial driving experience, and a clean driving record. We offer comprehensive benefits and biweekly pay, with a schedule from 2pm to 12am.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver’s license.
At least 21 years old.
Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
No DUI/DWI in the past 3 years.
No more than 3 traffic violations in the past 3 years.
Freight handling, forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive a straight truck or tractor-trailer safely and legally.
Hook and unhook trailers; manage landing gear, fifth wheel, safety chains, and doors.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain driving records to comply with state and federal regulations.
Determine loading method to maximize trailer capacity and minimize damage.
Adhere to safety, hazmat and regulatory requirements.
Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of vehicles.
