Job summary

Saddle Creek is hiring a Yard Driver for our Fairburn yard in Georgia. This non-DOT role involves moving trailers within the yard, performing safety checks, and coordinating dock activities after hours.

The position is Mon.–Thu., 4:30 PM–3:00 AM, with required adherence to safety policies and independent work ethic. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and have 1 year of yard/warehouse tractor-trailer

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely operate a tractor-trailer unit in a yard setting.
• Experience with yard checks and door/dock operations.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver a tractor and trailer in a yard environment.
• Perform daily yard checks and inspections.
• Move empty trailers to doors and set loaded trailers at doors.
• Document pre and post-shift inspections.
• Open/close trailer doors and adjust tandems as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe yard and equipment.
