Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Yard Driver to move trailers at the distribution centre, help prepare trailers for shipping, and monitor loaded trailers’ status.

The role offers a competitive pay of $27.50 per hour and benefits starting after 60 days, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. The Yard Driver will inspect trailers, ensure refrigeration functions, and assist with loading/unloading as needed while adhering to safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years driving experience desired.
• 100,000-mile tractor-trailer experience desired.
• Class A CDL required.
• Accident-free driving record for past 3 years desired.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for job-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor and attach trailer.
• Clean and spot trailers to doors.
• Inspect trailers for defects and report.
• Inspect loaded trailers for security and refrigeration.
• Drive within yard and nearby roads following regulations.
• Meet physical demands.
• Load/unload and/or deliver products as ordered.
• Other duties as assigned.
