Job summary

Talentify is seeking an experienced yard tractor/truck operator to move, dock, and position trailers in our Dallas-area yard. You will follow DOT and DFA policies, perform pre/post trip inspections, and maintain logs and a clean work area.

Responsibilities include hooking/unhooking trailers, spot loading, and assisting with transfers to docks or service departments. Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and recent tractor/trailer experience are required.

• Ability to read, write and speak English and maintain logs.

General Purpose

Operate yard tractors and trucks within parking, yard, and docking areas to move, position, and park trailers in support of shipping and receiving operations. Transport equipment for service or repair as needed while following all safety, quality, and DOT requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly yard environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Move trailers based on operational priorities to support plant efficiency and production needs
• Hook, unhook, and shuttle trailers to docks, yard locations, and service departments
• Spot loaded and empty trailers at assigned dock doors for loading and unloading
• Connect loaded trailers to tractors for route and OTR drivers
• Maintain accurate trailer movement and inventory logs
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report equipment issues
• Perform preventive maintenance checks in the yard area
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
• Wash tractors and trailers as required for the location
• Comply with all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies
• Attend required driver training and workshops

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Tractor/trailer experience within the last five years preferred
• Must meet all DOT and DFA Motor Vehicle Record requirements
• Valid Class A CDL in state of residence
• Tanker endorsement required
