GE Appliances, a Haier company, is hiring a Warehouse Yard Dog Operator in Decatur, AL. You will move finished units from receiving to storage, load trailers, and manage railcar movements with a Track-mobile.

The role requires forklift and yard dog experience, adherence to safety rules, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing floor. Responsibilities include operating scanners, coordinating with leaders to meet deadlines, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• 1+ year forklift/yard dog experience, preferably in high-volume manufacturing.
• CDL license with truck driving preferred or similar yard dog exposure.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Able to operate near moving machinery including robots and forklifts safely.
• Willingness to work weekends or extended hours as needed.
• Able to safely operate forklift, yard dog, and Track-mobile.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without restriction.
• Must follow verbal and written English instructions.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs (75 lbs occasionally).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift with Basiloid attachment to move freight.
• Operate yard dog to move trailers and dock placement.
• Use scanners to transfer units from storage to shipment.
• Move railcars with Track-mobile and manage railcar doors.
• Collaborate with operations to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Maintain clean work area and follow safety policies.
• Be cross-trained to cover other warehouse tasks.
