Walstrom Marine, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Yard/Boat Operations assistant for its Traverse City location. You will help with launching, haul-out, detailing, and basic fleet maintenance while supporting yard organization and safety protocols.

This role requires a proactive, safety-first mindset and reliable transportation to and from the job site. The position is in-person, with regular hours, and offers benefits including health, dental, vision insurance and a 401(k) with company match.

What We’re Looking For:

Walstrom Marine is looking for a candidate with technical aptitude and willingness to learn boat maintenance and yard operations to join our Traverse City team!

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with boat launching and haul-out operations, particularly during the spring and fall seasons.
• Support the transportation of boats, trailers, and supplies to customer properties, Walstrom Marine locations, and events such as boat shows.
• Perform detailing tasks including interior and exterior cleaning of boats.
• Assist with maintenance and minor repairs of company fleet and yard equipment throughout the year.
• Support yard cleanliness and organization by following safety protocols and ensuring equipment is stored properly.

• Strong work ethic with ability to work independently or as part of a team, and contribute to a positive work environment
• Good communication skills and a proactive, safety-first attitude.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, Saturday availability required during summer months
• This is an in person, onsite position based out of our Traverse City location.
