Job summary

McConway & Torley in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Yard Crew member for general maintenance in a manufacturing setting. You will perform manual tasks related to building, maintenance, and care of the plant, with shifts available across all timeframes.

You will operate forklifts, skid steers, frontend loaders, and other equipment, assist maintenance, and support various departments with cleanup and upkeep. A high school diploma or GED and a willingness to learn are required, with the ability to

• Must be tolerant to work in outside temperatures.

• Must have a good attitude and be adaptable to changes.
• Must be able to follow all safety protocols for assignments.
• Driver's license and experience of operating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting all departments with cleanup and removal of all trash and unwanted items.
• Operating forklifts, Skid steers, frontend loaders and any equipment needed to complete duties.
• Assisting maintenance on a variety of task including office maintenance, painting, and others.
• Operating drive around floor sweepers, weed whackers, and cut grass as needed.
• Previous experience in construction a plus

McConway & Torley is currently searching for a Yard Crew member. As a member of the yard crew team, you will perform manual tasks that are part of the building, maintenance, and overall care of the plant.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Shift: Must be able to work any Shift

What you’ll do:

Working Conditions:

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant

• Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
• Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
