FerroWorks in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a West Yard Material Handler to expedite the movement of raw and finished material. In this role you will pull and deliver materials to help control the flow of goods.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Lawrenceville). Shift: Must be able to work any shift, training on first shift.

This role requires operating forklifts and related equipment, adhering to safety PPE and performing routine inspections to ensure quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts.
• Must be able to wear PPE, including respirators.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to operate forklift and control movement of lifting apparatus.

Responsibilities

• Issue parts and supplies to internal customers in warehouse/outdoor areas.
• Operate forklift, front loader and material handling equipment, with fall protection when needed.
• Perform quality inspections and routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• De-gate rail road product, store materials and ship as required.
• Deliver castings and rigging to multiple departments.

West Yard Material Handler

McConway and Torley is looking for a West Yard Material Handler. In this position you will expedite the movement of raw and finished material. You will pull and deliver materials to control the flow of goods.

Location:Pittsburgh, PA (Lawrenceville)

Shift: Must be able to work any shift, will be consistent once trained - Will train on first shift

What You’ll Do:

• Works in warehouse/outside environment to issue parts/supplies to internal customers
• Operation of forklift, front loader and material handling equipment , and utilization of fall protection
• Conduct Quality inspections and routine maintenance and operators checklists for equipment being utilized
• De-gate rail road product and store, ship material as needed
• Essential functions of this position include operating machinery, de-gating castings and delivering the castings and rigging to multiple departments

What You Need:

• Experience operating forklifts
• Must be able to perform work while wearing all required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a filtering face piece and/or tight-fitting respirator
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to operate forklift and control the movement of the lifting apparatus.

Working Conditions:

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
