McConway & Torley in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an Equipment Tech/Millwright for a weekend daylight shift. You will perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on production equipment and facilities.

The role requires at least 5 years of maintenance experience in a heavy industrial setting and a high school diploma. You’ll work with grinders, forklifts, cranes, welders, lathes, and more, and must be able to bend, lift, and work on elevated platforms and in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Capable of servicing and repairing most common industrial equipment such as grinders, forklifts, cranes, welders, lathes.
• Capable of performing routine maintenance operations on equipment: oil changes, greasing, adjustments, minor repairs.
• Capable of performing routine electrical repairs and some troubleshooting of motor controls.
• Capable of basic repairs of plumbing and heating systems.
• Capable of fabricating hardware to support maintenance operations.
• Observe all company rules and regulations.
• Must be able to work on elevated platforms.
• Must be willing to be flexible with assignments and shifts.
• Report abnormal conditions to lead person or supervisor.
• Perform all other job-related tasks as assigned

What you’ll need:

Working Conditions:

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
