Job summary

CMC seeks a customer-focused yard associate in Tracy, CA to provide exceptional service as the first contact for customers and deliveries. You will ensure on-time deliveries, manage drawings for transportation, print mill certificates and tags, and keep yard schedules current.

Strong communication and computer skills are essential; SAP knowledge is a plus. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to take direction and complete tasks with minimum supervision.
• Strong computer skills required (Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• SAP knowledge preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service
• First point of contact in the yard - directs customers and deliveries
• Ensure daily deliveries are done throughout the plant
• Manage drawings from detailing to ensure they are given to transportation
• Print and manage mill certificates
• Print tags on jobs for daily production
• Keep yards updated with schedule changes
• Communicate inspection results in real time to the proper supervisor
