Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a Yard Attendant to help load out cargo and maintain accurate yard records. You will coordinate truck movements, operate handheld devices, and track cargo locations and work orders. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a dynamic yard environment.

Starting pay is $24.00 an hour. You will contribute to process improvements, train new staff, and adapt to varying weather conditions while supporting efficient logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand SOPs and learn new processes quickly.
• Capable of troubleshooting operational issues and meeting production standards.
• Must understand basic math and be detail-oriented.
• Able to read and comprehend written instructions and follow procedures.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Load out cargo accurately and maintain terminal records for cargo moved and work orders.
• Coordinate truck movements and optimize yard operations.
• Operate handheld devices and terminal systems to track cargo locations and work orders.
• Contribute to process improvements and uphold safety and quality standards.
