Job summary

Join Master Halco, the leader in the fence industry, as a Yard Associate at our Clayton, NC branch. You will be responsible for preparing orders, driving a forklift, and maintaining an organized yard. The ideal candidate has experience in a warehouse setting, can lift heavy materials, and possesses strong communication skills.

• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Experience with building materials a plus.

• Review order documents to prepare for accurate product pulling for customers.

Master Halco Fence & Deck Supply, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fence and deck products is seeking a Yard Associate at our branch office.

Responsibilities

• Review order documents to prepare for accurate product pulling for customers.
• Drive forklift loading/unloading trailers 70% of the time, manually sort and stage material in the yard 30% of the time.
• Safely operate a forklift.
• Maintain yard stock in a clean and organized manner.
• Works inside the warehouse and outside in the yard.
• Accurately loads trucks for outgoing shipments.
• Inbound material receiving and put away.
• Able to complete work orders and receiving documents accurately.
• Pulls and prepares orders, packaging for shipment.
• Rotates yard stock and safely moves materials using a forklift.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Works with team to ensure branch success and provides excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in a warehouse/yard position.
• Able to lift/move heavy materials (up to 60lbs) on occasion.
• Forklift experience (sitdown) highly desired.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions required.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Experience with building materials a plus.
