Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Porter / Yard Worker to station and retrieve equipment, maintain a maintenance schedule, and ensure gear meets specifications for rental customers.

The role includes inspecting equipment prior to and after rental, documenting any issues, and supporting a safety-focused team that values accuracy and reliability on busy job sites. Opportunities to advance to mechanic or driver roles may exist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred.
• Some experience and/or training in repair of mechanical equipment preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral).
• Basic math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Safety-focused; bilingual may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Station and retrieve equipment on the location's property.
• Maintain a written maintenance schedule for equipment.
• Service equipment as necessary to meet specifications.
• Inspect equipment prior to and after rental to document losses or damage.
