Overview & Responsibilities:

The Yacht Service/Maintenance Technician provides service and maintenance to new, used yacht inventory, and retail customer yachts. Responsibilities include general maintenance through planned systems to maintain vessels weekly, monthly, quarterly. Performs mechanical repairs at off-site locations and marinas.

Reports to: Service Manager / Service Team Leader

Key Tasks / Duties:

• Conduct maintenance checks and repairs as per work orders professionally and timely.
• Document work with labor tickets and work order updates, including descriptions of work performed.
• Perform mechanical repairs on vessels and equipment.
• Ensure retail/warranty repairs meet manufacturer and HMY guidelines.
• Complete repairs within established timeframes.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by punctuality and professional appearance.
• Follow-up with customers post-service.
• Inspect vessels, prepare estimates including parts and labor.
• Coordinate with service advisors and parts department for parts procurement.
• Notify service advisors of repairs beyond scope and follow-up on completion.
• Update work orders upon completion.
• Work additional hours when necessary.
• Travel to various locations for inventory maintenance or warranty repairs.
• Maintain company vehicle logs and appearance.
• Communicate professionally with customers and manufacturers.
• Assist Captains with demos and vessel movements.
• Follow company policies and safety guidelines.
• Operate company vehicle safely, maintain good driving record.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
