Overview & Responsibilities:

The Yacht Service/Maintenance Technician provides service and maintenance to new, used yacht inventory, and retail customer yachts. Responsibilities include general maintenance based on a planned maintenance system, mechanical repairs at off-site locations and marinas.

Reports to: Service Manager / Service Team Leader

Key Tasks / Duties:

• Perform maintenance checks and repairs as per work orders efficiently and professionally.
• Document work with labor tickets and work order updates, describing the work performed.
• Perform mechanical repairs on vessels and equipment.
• Ensure all retail/warranty repairs meet manufacturer and HMY guidelines.
• Complete repairs within the established timeframes.
• Arrive punctually for service calls and maintain a professional image.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Inspect vessels, prepare estimates, and list parts and labor.
• Coordinate with service advisors and parts department for parts and supplies.
• Notify service advisors of repairs beyond scope and follow up on completion.
• Update maintenance work orders upon completion.
• Work additional hours when necessary and travel to other locations as needed.
• Maintain vehicle logs and ensure a professional appearance of company vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with customers and manufacturers.
• Assist captains in vessel demos and movements.
• Follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
• Operate company vehicles safely and maintain a clean driving record.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
