Job summary

San Francisco Yacht Club is seeking a server to deliver exceptional dining room and bar service to members and guests in a premier yachting environment. You will greet patrons, know the menu, and ensure timely service while maintaining wine and cocktail knowledge and adherence to club policies.

Responsibilities include line setup, pre-shift briefings, taking care of billing accuracy, assisting with specials, and ensuring guest satisfaction. This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role at the club.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education required.
• Two years of comparable server experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write and execute basic math skills.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge members and guests.
• Provide knowledgeable and warm service.
• Distribute menus and suggest menu items.
• Ensure proper billing with correct account numbers and names.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and courteously.
• Coordinate with kitchen on orders and special instructions.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness and setup.
• Assist with closing duties as directed by management.
