Salina Family YMCA Inc is seeking a Y's Kids After School Educator to supervise children ages 5-12 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in Salina, KS. The role emphasizes safety, nurturing guidance, and engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.

You will plan age-appropriate activities, provide nutritious snacks, support homework, encourage teamwork, and communicate with families and staff while upholding YMCA policies and health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Students / High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in a group setting preferred.
• 16 years and older.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage children in a positive and energetic manner.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with all Y safety standards.

Position Overview

The Y's Kids After School Educator is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children in the Y's Kids after school program. This role involves supervising and guiding children ages 5-12 during the after school hours from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, facilitating educational and recreational activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
