Job summary

Akumin is hiring a X-Ray Tech for the Winter Haven facility in a full-time role. The Radiology Technologist will produce high quality diagnostic X-ray images with strong emphasis on radiation safety and proper documentation, while communicating clearly with radiologists and patients.

The position requires ARRT(R) and state license as applicable, CPR, flexibility to work at multiple locations, and a willingness to participate in background checks and a drug screen. Includes a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to work at multiple locations; travel may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic x-ray images with attention to safety.
• Ensure patient safety through pre-screening and aseptic technique.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists and Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot the X-ray unit and peripheral equipment (PACS, computers).
