Job summary

Akumin is hiring an X-Ray Technologist for our Zephyrhills facility. This full-time role focuses on high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging with strict attention to radiation safety and proper documentation. The technologist will communicate with radiologists and patients, and may train junior staff as needed.

Requirements include ARRT (R) and state license, CPR, and flexibility to work at multiple locations. Local travel may be required and vaccination could be a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) and state license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Radiology School completion preferred for fixed setting.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic x-ray images with attention to radiation safety and proper documentation.
• Ensures patient safety including pre-screening and aseptic technique as applicable.
• Communicates effectively with customers and radiologists.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoots X-ray unit and peripheral equipment (including PACS and computers).
