At Fast Pace Urgent Care, X-Ray Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. They provide outstanding patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment in addition to imaging. The X-Ray Tech will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using, excellent, in-depth knowledge as well as communicating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist position as detailed in the specific Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist job description.
• The ability to deliver clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all policies and procedures of the company.
• Monitor and track x-ray orders so they can be completed and submitted in a timely manner.
• Assist patient with proper positioning during the exam to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Ensure activities are conducted in a manner consistent with department expectations and comply with regulations including HIPAA.
• Review exam images for initial read by provider.
• Send final images to Radiology group for over read.
• Label all images correctly with laterality using lead markers.
• Ensure no artifacts are present and proper technique is used; document any artifacts with explanation.
• Address minor maintenance issues with machines and follow up as needed.
• Monitor equipment condition, clean after use, and report issues.
• Maintain and distribute pregnancy waiver forms where applicable.
• Perform triage tasks such as checking vitals, collecting clinical history, and performing blood draws or injections if applicable.
• Monitor and read X-Ray badge monthly; wear radiation monitors at all times in the X-Ray room.
• Complete mandatory compliance training.
• Support onboarding and training of new employees.
• Maintain positive relations with colleagues and clients, fostering a positive work environment.
• Perform physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions as required.
• Adhere to company standards and core values.

Experience and License Requirements

• ARRT License (Registered Technologist)
• State License (Registered Technologists’ and Limited Scope)
• License must be active, in good standing, and verifiable.
• TB and IV Certification required within 60 days of employment if applicable.

Education and Experience Levels

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Additional levels specify experience in clinical settings, with certifications and responsibilities increasing with level (1-5). Details include experience in ultrasound, casting, bracing, and administrative duties, with requirements for CPR certification and specific experience durations.
