Bright Light Medical Imaging is seeking an X-ray Technologist for PRN Saturday shifts in Melrose Park. The role requires radiography expertise, IV placement/contrast support is a plus, and strong patient care and communication skills.

The candidate must hold ARRT (Radiography) and Illinois licensure, graduate from an accredited radiologic program, and maintain CPR-BLS certification. On-site imaging team supports a fast-paced clinical environment with HIPAA compliance.

X-ray Technologist

Melrose Park is seeking a PRN-Saturdays X-Ray Technologist to join our imaging team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in general radiography and preferably trained in IV placement and contrast administration. This role supports a fast-paced clinical environment and requires strong patient care, communication, and technical imaging skills.

Location: On-site Melrose Park

Position: X-ray Technologist (PRN)

Days/Hours: Every Other Saturday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams in accordance with physician orders
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures
• Maintain proper imaging quality and follow departmental protocols
• Assist with patient positioning and equipment setup
• IV placement and contrast administration preferred (for CT/advanced imaging support)
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and records
• Adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards

Requirements:

• ARRT Registered (Radiography) or equivalent
• Illinois state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
• Graduate from accredited radiologic technology program
• CPR-BLS Certification
• Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

• IV placement and contrast administration (for CT/advanced imaging support), preferred (will train)
• Prior experience in outpatient imaging or hospital setting
