Job summary

Bright Light Medical Imaging, a physician-led imaging center in Illinois, seeks an X-ray Technologist (PRN) for Saturdays at Melrose Park. You will perform diagnostic radiographic exams, ensure patient safety, and assist with positioning and equipment setup in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Preferred candidates have ARRT registration, Illinois licensure, CPR-BLS, and training in IV placement or contrast administration.

Qualifications

• ARRT Registered (Radiography) or equivalent.
• Illinois state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Graduate from accredited radiologic technology program.
• CPR-BLS Certification.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams in accordance with physician orders.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Maintain proper imaging quality and follow departmental protocols.
• Assist with patient positioning and equipment setup.
• IV placement and contrast administration preferred (for CT/advanced imaging support).
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and records.
• Adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards.

Position Summary:

X-ray Technologist

Melrose Park is seeking a PRN-Saturdays X-Ray Technologist to join our imaging team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in general radiography and preferably trained in IV placement and contrast administration. This role supports a fast-paced clinical environment and requires strong patient care, communication, and technical imaging skills.

Location: On-site Melrose Park

Position: X-ray Technologist (PRN)

Days/Hours: Every Other Saturday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams in accordance with physician orders
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures
• Maintain proper imaging quality and follow departmental protocols
• Assist with patient positioning and equipment setup
• IV placement and contrast administration preferred (for CT/advanced imaging support)
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and records
• Adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards
