Akumin is hiring a X-Ray Technologist at our Clearwater, FL facility for a PRN position. The Radiology Technologist will produce high quality diagnostic X-ray images while adhering to radiation safety regulations and documentation.

This role emphasizes patient safety, clear communication with radiologists, and may involve training new staff. Desktop troubleshooting of X-ray units and related equipment may be required.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification and state license (if applicable) are required.
• CPR certification is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Ability to work at several locations; willing to travel locally.
• Completion of Radiology School and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic x-ray images with attention to radiation safety.
• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists and Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot the X-ray unit and peripheral equipment.
