Overview

The X Ray Limited Scope & Medical Support Specialist performs routine x-ray, medical, and testing procedures under supervision, supporting various facility areas including registration and referral management. This role involves performing routine X-ray examinations following policies, ensuring quality patient care, and maintaining safety and equipment standards.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing patients for radiologic procedures, assisting in positioning, explaining procedures, and ensuring safety and comfort.
  2. Operating radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, adjusting controls, and following safety regulations.
  3. Maintaining equipment, ensuring proper documentation, and reporting malfunctions.
  4. Performing medical support duties such as drug testing, physical exams, specimen collection, assisting providers, and clerical tasks.
  5. Ensuring compliance with HIPAA and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean environment, and participating in training.

Qualifications include:

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. State-approved Limited Scope Technician certification and license, if applicable.
  3. CPR/First Aid certification.
  4. At least six months of medical assistant and X-ray experience.
  5. Knowledge of occupational medicine requirements preferred.
  6. Skills in customer service, confidentiality, communication, teamwork, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
