Job Summary

The Ultrasound Tech will perform general exams, including breast, small parts, vascular, and obstetrical exams in a timely and complete manner.

Essential Functions of an Ultrasound Technologist

• Performing general ultrasound exams, including breast, small parts, vascular, and GYN exams.
• Correlating clinical history with tests.
• Preparing exam rooms and equipment.
• Assisting radiologists with biopsies and vascular procedures.
• Recognizing and recording anatomy and pathology.
• Maintaining sonography equipment.
• Writing reports based on scan results.
• Alerting medical staff to abnormalities.
• Solving problems and making decisions.
• Working independently or with minimal supervision.
• Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintaining confidentiality and pursuing professional development.

Required Education and Experience

• Must have Breast US experience.
• Breast biopsy experience preferred but not required.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as a Sonographer.
• ARDMS or ARRT(S) accreditation.
