Qualifications

• Certificate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• New York State license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology.
• ARRT credentialed license required after 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintains supplies and cleanliness; restocks as needed.
• Assists with special projects, reports, and activities.
• Maintains professional relationships with patients and staff.
• Sets up equipment and performs quality control checks on radiography gear.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and uses shielding.
• Transmits and formats images to PACS and prints hard copies when needed.
• Explains procedures to patients and ensures comfort and privacy.
• Positions patients and equipment for optimal imaging.
• Accesses HIS/RIS to verify orders and schedules exams.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Follows isolation precautions and performs other duties as assigned.
